Photographer’s Note
The statue contemplating Paris is called a Stryga. In Romanian there is a very similar word - Strigoi - which meant ghost or evil spirit.
The strygas of Notre Dame, are different from the gargoyles, which are the figures used for the water drainage system of the roof. All the grotesque figures were meant to protect the cathedral.
Too bad today only a few angles are allowed by the protection fence on the top terrace.

Hi Tudor,
A nice shot, well done! I feel like having seen quite the same angle some time ago here ... and should defnitely visit Paris soon again ;-)
Greetings and TFS, Mike
