Photographer's Note

I finally found the location of this giant head sculpture thanks to a book called Paris; Viewed from the Sky. It is just next to Les Halles. Unfortunately the sculpture has suffered some vandalism. I took several shots and chose this one because it had the fewest people in it, plus, it was taken from a different angle than the other shot of it I have seen on TE.

A note on the title: In French tÍte means head. And gros/grosse means big. Just like the words grand/grande, apparently there is some unwritten rule about which nouns go with which adjectives, (I still have troubles with it). The other meaning of the title is big ego, for example fame could give someone a "big head".

Postprocessing: Origninally taken in color, I converted the image to greyscale. I adjusted the levels quite a bit to make the shadows more dramatic.
