Photographer’s Note
I took this shot at Place des Vosges which is located in the Marais of Paris. It was a beautiful sunny day and lots of people were in the center of this big square enjoying the weather. I took this shot from outside of the gates of the park looking inward. I really liked the silhouette effect created by the overhanging trees.
I called in voyeur for several reasons. The first is because of the man on the bench doing one of my favorite activities, people watching. Also because as the photographer I was the voyeur, and now you the person looking at this photo is the voyeur.
While aligning this shot, I tried to keep in mind the rule of thirds and hopefully did an okay job of achieving this. I did crop a little of the left because there was another tree trunk that was a bit distracting.
This shot only gives a tiny hint of the beautiful architechture of this place. I think "izuminka" did a nice job taking a shot of more of the buildings if you are interested you can see her shot here.

Hi Michele, your title fits the circumstances, a constricted view point out to the open. The framing is good, in this case horizontal.
