Photographer’s Note
In 1997, I took 3 weeks fulfilling what is something of a pilgrimage...backpacking around Europe. For a week of that time, I did a homestay with a French family in Nice to knock some of the rust off my High School French. Most of that week was spent getting hit with Madame F's pencil, and hearing "Non, non, non...c'est n'est pas correct." It was a long time since I'd had any real instruction in the language.
Pic was taken during the wanderings around town in my off time. Later scanned, and some minor cropping and pp levels adjustment.
