I thought about doing something differnet with Le Grande Arche and I must admit that I do not have a single overview of the whole arch. The pigeon is pure luck, I did not see it until I got home.
The arch is enormous and built in the 1980´s construction boom to symbolize the modern Paris. The cubic structures stands at the end of the highrise area at La Defense and acts as eyecatcher that is seen far away.
The walls contain offices and the roof is a terrace where tourists can enjoy the view of Paris. It also houses some exhibition areas and museums but I have not been there so I can´t tell you more than that.

It seems we've all used our points today :o) Great shot, and that pigeon is so lucky. I like the clouds at the bottom, it breaks the brigth blue sky nicely.

A graphic composition with a good light and the "plus" with the bird.
Really excellent, Ebbe !

Some get to go to Paris, Ebbe... And return with a bunch of nice architectural photos. I like this one for the the bold cutting of the arch, it's very nicely framed, sharp and in balance - much thanks to the pigeon. Also the difference in light on the different surfaces is very appealing. I didn't know it contained anything - least of all offices! Well done!

I think I prefer not seeing the left side. It makes you wonder what the heck is going on off camera. The frame within a frame is nice, and of course the pigeon is just pure bonus.

Very good capture here Ebbe,
Very nice modern art, with the bird as an eye catcher, very nice, good colours too, very well done,

Lucky man ! ;-)
I don't think the view would have been so nice without the bird. It is a modern architecture, and as far as I'm concerned I find it a bit "cold". This bird brings life in the pic, and that's a good thing.
Anyway, very good framing, I prefer your vision to the usual one with the entire arch.
