42- Basilica seen from the Loire, a photo from Centre, Central

Photographer's Note

BOURGUEIL V
After visiting the vines and cellars in the Bourgueil area and the little town of Candes-St-Martin (see the note and WS on my previous posting), we took a trip on the river Loire, where we could enjoy a different view of the basilica and other beautiful buildings.
This was built in the 12th and 13th centuries, and was then fortified in the 15th century; so, it's a mixture of Romanesque, Gothic and military architecture. Of course, it's built in the omnipresent tuffeau stone of the region, as are all the houses surrounding it.
In my next posting, I shall post a picture of Montsoreau chateau, just a few KM down the Loire from Candes.

Hello Marie Louise
This basilica is beautiful and should be a nice object for picturing.
But you should straighten the skyline, it is a bit wry.

beautiful view on the architecture. I have never seen such a complex situation for a shot in avoiding tilts. I made several tries to find a preferred version for me. I added some other filters and hope the difference is not to much for you. But see yourself please. The most I like are those amount of lines on all those buildings with the textures of the stones.

Dommage cette inclinaison (qui serait facile a corriger avec psp par exemple).

Bonjour Marie-Louise,

Un jolie point de vue pour nous présenter cette belle basilique. Une lumière et netteté appréciable. Pour le tilt tu peux télécharger une petite application en free "ShiftN" (Ca fait les corrections automatiquement, c'est très simple).

Hola Marie Louise,
buen encuadre para captar esta basílica con una perspectiva elegante. La pequeña inclinación la puedes corregir con cualquier programa de post-procesado, aunque supongo que aquí el culpable debe ser el movimiento de la barca que os paseaba por el río.
La luz te ofrece unas bellas sombras y unos colores suaves.
Es una foto agradable.

Très belle composition. Le Noir & blanc pourrait également être strès satisfaisant ici.
C'est vrai, il y a un léger tilt dans l'image, mais ça ne dérange pas trop.

Une aubaine de pouvoir naviguer et visiter et cela donne un bon point de vue sur l'architecture.
Malgré que le capteur s'est ajusté sur les parties ombrées, cela n'a pas surexposé le tuffeau, le ciel est légèrement laiteux.
L'ideal dans ce cas c'est de pouvoir sous exposer légèrement.
Je me suis permis un WS juste pour affiner.

La ruta por los castillos de Loira es una tarea que tengo pendiente. Soy un apasinado de los castillos y la arquitectura y estoy convencido que disfrutaria mucho. Por el momento me quedo con tu foto, jeje

Me gusta la composicion y perspectiva. Creo que le podrias aplicar mas contraste para hacer una foto mejor pero es cuestion de gustos.

Saludos y espero seguir disfrutando de los castillos de Loira por tu galeria.

Marie-Louise bonjour.
L'édifice est bien photographié avec une bonne lumière et sous un angle qui donne du relief. Un petit défaut d'aplomb mais c'est vite réparé. La note est intéressante.

Good morning Marie Louise,
nice the view of the Basilica with some parts of it to have a sension of military,as look like as towers.
I like the sort and clear falling light with the clarity and the sharpness to be the main characteristic of the image.Good presentation with the WS to completes the whole image.
