Photographer’s Note

Agriculture in Corsica represents 10, 7 %de emploi régional (national average: 6, 8%) and 2, 7 % of the regional PIB (national average: 3, 2%). The fertility of the grounds is overall average there, which partly explains a gross income by exploitation inferior of 35 % the national average. The littoral plains are intended for the commercial cultures. The mixed Company for the agricultural development of Corsica (Somivac, created in 1957) there developed intensive exploitations whose activity rests on an effective mechanization and irrigation. arboriculture; citrus fruits, fishing’s, nectarines, lawyers, olives, pears, cherries, apricots, kiwis, and the vine growing are associated in the plain Aléria, in the south of Bastia, in the valleys of Gravone and of Taravu around porto-Vecchio, in the North-West of Bonifacio, and between Calvi and Algajola. The orchards agrums, whose clementine constitutes the principal production, occupy a total surface of 2 300 ha and profit from the agronomic research undertaken in particular by two scientific stations established in the Eastern plain: that of San Giuliano is specialized in agrumiculture, while that of Migliacciaru makes carry its studies on ensemble of the orchards.

J'aime les couleurs , le vert du tracteur contraste bien avec la terre , l'image est tres nette cela change de tes photos habituelles , c'est une bonne idée et c'est bien fait .

Si vous n'aviez pas parlé de la Corse j'aurai juré que c'est un paysage du Loiret en été.
Je me demandais pourquoi les appareils numériques Fuji Finepix leur sensibilité commence à 160 ISO et non 100 ISO. La réponse est simple. Dans la plupart des appareils le bruit est légèrement présent à 100 ISO, s'estompe entre 160 à 200, puis réapparaît à 400 ISO et augmente à 1600.
Le tracteur est sur un point fort du cadre et j'ai l'impression qu'il se dirige droit vers moi : Sauve qui peut !

Saïd dit que cela pourrait être le Loiret et moi je dis que cela pourrait être la Belgique... surtout avec cet arrière plan plat. Par contre, quand on lit la note, on se rend compte que vous cultivez pas du tout la même chose et qu'effectivement, il est logique que ayant plus de soleil que par ici la fertilité soit moindre. Faut dire que j'ai souvenir d'avoir appris à l'école que j'habitais dans une des régions les plus fertiles au monde... L'avantage de la pluie...
Bref, une excellente photo très instructive. Bravo!

Scène de la vie quotidienne superbement capturée et haute en couleurs. Comme le laisse entendre Didi ce n'est pas typique de la Corse et cela montre un aspect de l'île que l'on connait mal. En tous cas le moment a été bien choisi car cette lumière rasante et de côté apporte beaucoup à cette photo.

Ok, I was accused by someone for making a building contractor commercial today so I pass that on to you who did a tractor promotion shot. That meant in a good way.

The tractor is well placed in the frame with a little blur and dust at the wheels to show that it is moving. Very fine color match of spring vegetation and tractor body. Just blue, green and brown in three large and separated areas. Well done.

Very simple but really great capture Georges. Love the colors from the tractor and letting him on the left with the shadow to the right was a great choice giving a powerful composition really matching your history. Nice note too! Good job :)

Very bright and colorful "farmer at work" shot, Georges. The tractor is well placed right of center and in a good diagonal, and I like how its shadow extends to the left border of the image. Lovely natural setting in the Corse spring. Very nicely captured.

Un cliche tout a fait different aujourd'hui et vous avez n'aucune probleme avec la changement du paysage. La composition 1/2 est bien choisi, la nettete est vraiment parfait et le tracteur avec le 'blur' chez la pneu arriere est rendu avec dynamisme. Tres bonne note egalement. J'aime bien cette ensemble, Georges, bravo!

I like your totle, Georges. Farmers can't smell the ground anymore when they sit in an airconditioned cabin, though they are more effiecent now. Nice shot, Georges, well done.

Très bonne note très détaillée et servie par une illustration haute en couleurs. Un visage différent de la Corse brillamant exposé ici. Composition sans reproche avec une terre aux tons bien saturés donnat encore plus d'expression à cette image. Très bien fait Georges.

Je vois que l'on pousse le détail très loin, jusqu'à gommer la marque du tracteur, personnellement je ne l'aurais pas fait.
La lumière est agréable et le cadrage me plait bien.

Un ensemble d' horizontales( nuages ,végétation, piquets et ombre) contrebalancé par ce tracteur bien dessiné par la lumière de coté sur cette terre agicole ocre. Que du bon.

Pour ce qui est de la qualité de la production des agrumes de l'ile de beauté je peux affirmer qu'il n'y a pas meilleur. Des membres de la famille de ma femme ont travaillé de nombreuses année à la copacor et j'ai encore le goût des fruits bien murs et sucrés dans la bouche , rien à voir avec certaines productions de la communauté européenne ;-).

Great shot, Georges. Beautiful colours. You make working on a farm, look like a great way to spend a day. Well framed - showing us how much work the farmer has to do - and a good informative note.
