[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This the main building of Fort Medoc located at the Gironde a bit south of Pauillac. As one of the fortresses to defend the harbour of Bordeaux it was never under the fire of an enemy. It was built after the Hundred Years' War or Guerre de Cent Ans which lasted from 1337 to 1453, counting is not best here.

Guten Tag Ulf

The sky is a little oe & there is a slight blue colour cast, but I like the composition & horizontal layering. Good sharpness & pov. Tfs!

Hi dear Ulf,
Nice view of the Fort Medoc ! Very interesting this panoramic format but the light and the sky could be better.
TFS and have a nice day,
Aires

Hi Ulf!
Nice panoramic landscape!
Nice POV, good definition, but I think there is a little excessive bright level, and the light might be improved.
TFS and have a nice week,
Rosa

Hi Ulf
is this a scan? It´s a pity that the colors are not more "alive".
that´s why a tried a WS. José would say that I´m a fan of B&W. but maybe for this photo is necessary. Let me know what you think of it!
Saludos! Paula.

I assume you scanned this picture. The sky is definitely not the best but since scanning takes away so much quality I will concentrate on the rest of the compo. The castle is well positiones with the trail leading to the right. Good combination of elements with the road on the right and the ruins on the left. It leads my eyes from one end to the other without losing interest in any part of the picture. Very good use of light and colors. The definition you obtained from this scanned image is still very good. Nice work Ulf.

Hallo Ulf.
You did a wonderful job shooting this one. The compo is very nice, well balanced, using the ruins, the lane, the clouds and the 'thirds' rule (both horizontally and vertically) to enhance the house - everything seems to draw our eyes to it.
Very well done!
The sharpness and the color balance could be better - there is an excess of blue and some red.
You forgot also cropping some thin stripes on the left and top of the image.
If you used a more horizontal ratio aspect, you could have posted a version with more definition: there is a not much known rule in TE that enables you to do that when the post aspect ratio is greater than 2.5 (max. 320px height for 800px width); after the upload you have a link to post a bigger version.
