This is the village of Tuchan in the department of Aude in the southwest of France. The mountain in the background is Mt. Tauch. This is the heart of the Corbières region for winelovers and the land of the Cathars for those interested in medieval European history. Geographically it is the foothills of the Pyrenees and climatically it is the sunniest region of France (more than 300 days of sunshine every year).
This shot wwas taken in the early morning with a low sun down the main street and ominous clouds over the mountain. Slight contrast adjustments with PS and cropping.

Great photo prespective, Per.
I like the house and mountain background. Very good note, too.

Happy Easter, Per. I like the composition in this shot, where your perspective makes sure that a maximum amount of detail in the pretty old houses' facades can be appreciated. Also, the view is nicely guided towards the mountain in the background. Looks like a fine place to spend some time. Nice shot.

Very fine and moody shot Per - I like the dark sky and mountain in the background and the typically French street - A nice place to spend some days - lucky you.
