Photographer’s Note

This Parisian child had the art of pitiful begging down so well it even tugged at the heart strings of this old cynic. However, while taking this picture, his compatriot tried to pick my pocket. If I didn't have such fat legs with tight pants, he would have gotten away scott free. As it were, all worked out for the best. However, this little guy did play a mean concertina.

The story is intersting but I thin your photo needs more contrast. The way you capture it makes the boy so little and vulnerable, effective to emphasize his child status. Terrible that he is being abused as a distraction for criminal activity/

The idea of the picture is very good and it is very moody, however to my opinion the perspective could be better in terms of getting more zoom on him with out the man on the left and the building - just him and the fence. That's my 2 cents
