Ancien Adverts, a photo from Ile-de-France, North

Photographer's Note

I took this shot near the Canal St. Martin. On the side of a building I found a very very old collection of advertisements. Unfortunately many of them have been graffittied over. I tried to get the a shot of the ones a little higher up because I think the taggers are a bit to lazy to bring a ladder with them. The dark triangle is caused by a shadow. This particular group of adverts is found just near a big street and is almost in a "tunnel" of buildings.

Tres jolies ces vieilles plaques, qui vont bientot disparaitre sous les tags.bien vu.

Très belle et étonnante collection d'affiches anciennes. Belles couleurs.

Ta photo montre bien le contraste entre la qualité artistique des affiches faites par des artistes anonymes et le côté stupide des graffiteurs qui ne font que signer. Cette pollution visuelle, souvent comparée à juste titre à de l'urine de chat, commence d'ailleurs sérieusement à envahir Montréal, qui avait somme toute été épargnée jusqu'à il y a deux ou trois ans... Au moins, il y en a un qui sait ce qu'il est : NONO!
