Photographer’s Note

Here is a picture of the Metz St.Stephens Cathedral at night.

All those who come to Metz are struck by the wealth of its natural and architectural heritage. And a stroll through the city can feel more like a journey through the centuries.

More recently, as well as seeing through the restoration of a great number of its old buildings, Metz has successfully opened up to contemporary architecture, notably on the Technopole Metz 2000 and with the Arsenal, the citys concert hall, built by Ricardo BOFILL..

With its rich cultural heritage going back over thousands of years, Metz has truly made the best of its magnificent buildings, enhancing them further with a programme of illuminations which has earned it the nickname of City of Light.

The ligh conditions are nearly A+, means hardly overexposed..
Pov is great and sharpness too...

Mosellan provisoirement expatrie au Canada, je ne peux qu'apprecier cette tres belle vue nocturne de la magnifique cathedrale de Metz !
J'aime beaucoup la composition : premier plan, rideau d'arbre et la cathedrale qui en emerge, eclatante de lumiere.

Stephan,
Extraordinaire photo de cette cathédrale qui semble sortir de la forêt et par dessus des arbres. La photo est très nette et qui dénote l'ambiance de début de soirée. J'aime bien cette ville et j'y retourne souvent.
