Did I already say that I just love Paris in summer and its festivals around each week-end ? Yesterday, the Tropical Carnival took place between "Republique" and "Nation". Temperature was tropical, fitting perfectly the mood of the festive event.
For the 5th festival, about 40 charts were leading the marche, each of them embodied a specific culture or island : Guadeloupe, Martinique, Réunion, Guyane but also Jamaïca, Haiti and different countries from South America.
It was a great event celebrating mixity. Each character was kind enough to get photographied. Some of them even offered me some of the most beautiful smiles possible. Like this one probably inviting us to dance Zouk music...

Very nice sharp and moody photo.
What stops me from saying "wow!" is the fact that the arms have been clipped and you really don't get the right feeling of her.
Colours are sharp and all detail is clearly visible.
Lighting is perhaps a bit direct, but judging from the shadows in the shot I'm guessing you didn't have much of a choice.
Thank you for sharing.

The picture with the dominating color yellow pleases me very well. Something disturbs me that the hands of the woman are not to be seen. Altogether a beautiful picture. Greeting, Wolfgang

Absolutely divine series, Steven!
The participants of the festival are great and they all seem to be cooperative to give you the best opportunity for amazing shots!
