Photographer’s Note
Can you see it in his eyes? The fascination? And the joy?
The magic of moving your own hand under the table with a magnet in it, and that wooden figure on the table is moving the same way?
And imagine that you can even play a game with it, football/soccer, with one other opponent, your biggest friend hopefully, instead of your mother, who can't keep her hands off it as well, remembering her own younger years.
Taken on the square at Saint Sulpice, at the day there were all kinds of plays to be played.

Hi Rinie,
this is really goo. Great timing here to catch this expression of pure joy! The DOf is great as it just takes away all the stuff and we are drawn right to his face. Excellent capture.

A lovely capture of the joy and fascination in the boy's eyes, Rinie. Such a simple moment, coming to think of it, yet portrayed with good candor and in nice soft light. Enchanting.

Rinie, I haven't seen JOY and SURPRISE, the MAGIC of childhood come across from a shot with this force. Exquisite.
I can imagine how close you could get to him, because for him only that play with the magnet existed at the moment... that is so gorgeous. That total abandon. The gift of children, artists, scientists, and monks.
Wonderful work!

Yes, I can see the joy in his eyes, and imagine the thrill he's going through. Discovering, being curious, openminded, there is a lot of charm in childhood. Of course the richness of the complex interactions in the world of grown ups is unparalelled, but the naïve attitude of children will always fascinate me.

Rather encouraging that children can stiull be fascinating by such simple old toys, that I remember liking when I was his age. There seems something so much more valuable about toys that allow children to appreciate how they work.
Great expression caught int his candid shot.

Such a lovely moment, the sheer joy on his face and the innocence when everything unexplainable is magic. And although you were close you didnt break that spell.

What it´s great about his photo is that you remind us the face we, adult people, should not loose. This photo it´s a celebration of the capacitity of being surprised and have illusions, something that, in my case, I try to keep no matter the wounds recived while living. It´s mandatory to be a bit "Peter pan".
PS: Beside the boy looks like a "petit Eric Leparc"
