Photographer’s Note

We arrived in Criel sur Mer in the night. The hotel was just closed to the beach, which became the trek start place. It was a cool one, especially in the morning light.

Concerning the landscape, the cliffs are typical from this part of France. You find them from (almost) Le Havre to Ault. You probably know Etretat, which is one of the most famous.

Bonjour Stephane,
Indeed we see both the sea as background, you have a very great rocks in background together with a small village, have to a very lovely place for a good strolls or maybe a good fishing place too!
Good composition and really colours.

J'aime beacoup la composition de ton image.
La ligne de galets en bas et le contraste avec les couleurs du tracteur. Bravo pour ce superbe coup d'oeil.
En plus, tu as disposé d'une bonne lumière et d'un ciel "à photo"...c'est vraiment du beau travail.

Hello Stéphane,
une compo originale.... beaucoup n'aurait vu que la falaise mais ton oeil averti a décaler le cadrage vers la gauche de la phtoo et a permis de nous remettre cette superbe falaise dans sonenvironnement. Du coup, j'aime beaucoup ce tracteur qui équilibre la photo et qui donne une belle touche de rouge. J'aime beaucoup

Composition très bien composée avec ce tracteur (signe des temps modernes pour amener ou ramener les bateaux) idéalement placé dans la composition. J'aime ces falaises crayeuses sur le flanc et verdoyantes sur la partie supérieure.
Paysage représentatif de la région en effet.
Très belle réalisation.

The shingle beach with the shoreline rocks and the fisherman's tractor are so reminiscent of the beaches in my area, although the cliffs are different. The early morning light is very attractive here.

Hello Stephane, très originale cet avant plan ou le tracteur épouse les formes ondulantes du terrain et ce cadrage intéressant montrant la découpe et laissant apparaître la fine couche de sol ou les végétaux et ce avec beaucoup de mérite doivent s’accommoder, sous une très belle exposition ou malgré l’importance de nombreux élément ainsi qu’une haute luminosité ou ton regard à sus faire ressortir les ombres et les contrastes parmis tout les sujet rendu interressant du coup qui composent cette photo, bien amicalement

Au premier coup d'oeil le tracteur me gênait un peu et puis j'ai trouvé qu'il était bien à sa place mais cette photo fait tellement penser à une peinture Impressionniste que ce tracteur semble avoir pris la place des cabines de bain de la belle époque.

Hi Staphane, The cliff is impressive indeed. Good capture of the tracker in the rocky field. The red color made a outstanding contrast to the background colors.

Bonjour Stéphane,
J'aime beaucoup ce tracteur coloré au premier plan, surtout sa position en équilibre sur ce monticule. Il permet de meubler l'espace qui aurait été un peu vide sans lui. Les falaises à l'arrière plan tranchent avec le plat de la plage. Ca a l'air sympa comme coin pour se balader.

Bon soir Stephane, it's almost comical, the way this old tractor is positioned on its little hill. After that out eyes wander over the beach and to the cliff. A pleasing walk in this nice village with a nicely graphic content to entice the eye further. Nicely done!

La falaise de craie est trés réussie, avec les petites maisons au bas de la longue pente herbeuse, qui marque une opposition franche avec la coupure de la falaise abrupte. le petit tracteur fait comme un miniature, un jouet d'enfant abandonné sur la plage de galet.

Salut Stephane,
Un paysage superbe et tu as eu pour l'apprecier apparemment de bonnes conditions, j'aime beaucoup la courbe des champs montant vers le sommet de la falaise et le fort point d'accroche du tracteur, en plus il est rouge, donc forcement ca en jette !
C'est aussi le detail insolite car on le verrait plus dans un champ qu'en bord de plage ce tracteur...

There are four interesting and beautifully composed portions in this shot. Each one has something appealing, from the tractor to the shadows and textures then on to the cliff and houses while the clouds provided the finale. Well done!! All good wishes.
