Photographer’s Note
I took this picture at fruit and vegetable market in the Marais. I had never seen this vegetable before and when I asked the owner what it was he hold me it was a cross between broccoli and cauliflower. He had a name for it too but I forgot what it was. If anyone knows the name in English or in French please post it.
I justed loved all of the texture that this vegetable had and thought it was great that he had it displayed next to the tomatoes. The complimentary colors really make it stand out.
I cropped the picture a bit because there was a cardboard box right behind it that wasn't too pretty and then adjusted the levels only slightly in Photoshop.

no points? it just so weird. kind of like a fractal in the plant world. I've never seen one before, only what's in the supermarket ;)

Hi Michele, the French for this vegetable is Chou Romanesco.
Nice colors, but maybe a bit too much yellow because of the artificial lightening.
