Photographer’s Note

Always in Santerre, (area to the east of Amiens), here is the St Nicolas Church in the village of Wiencourt-L'équipée. The church is from XVIème siécle.

The village which exists since XIIIrd century was several times destroyed: initially totallement by the Spaniards in 1636 and partially in 1918.

A small personal remark: Child, my mother lived in this yellow house with the green shutters (the colors are not from this time!)
