Fête des Lumières VI Photo

Photographer’s Note

This is the sixth photo from the series of Fête des Lumières (The Festival of Lights)
Here they covered four walls with vertical simple wires with bulbs (similar to those we use in Christmas). Those bulbs blink once in a while, so different walls got illuminated.
I took this shot with star-six filter from a gate outside that “cube”; so the big stars are those just next to me, and the small ones came from the wall on my right.
It was a raining that time, so as you can see, the floor is wet.

Well this is a superb nd original shot, your light are almost a great sky with all stars shining at same times.

Hello Alon, I'm glad to see that you are adding another image to your 'enlightening' series! This is just lovely! I very much like the fairytale atmosphere you transmit here with this “starry night shot”. The composition is wonderful with the 2 parts the darkest part with a few scattered stars and the fabulous wall of stars, it works well and gives a great perspective! Really nice work! Sabine

What is this Star Six filter you are using Alon? Rememebr I remarked before how much I like this effect and wish you could pack more into a photo. Well I see you went and did just that! And more! I like the division of dark vs bright here a lot.

It's quite different from your previous shots, but I like here the kind of magic that radiates from all these floating lights, good point for the star lights too, not too much, just enough to add to the magic, I like it !

Hi Alon.

We are following similar themes about the light and we are neighbours today. I am glad someone is thinking similar. A very good division of the frame in two parts and a very good star-like effect. the frontal "stars" give it a 3d experience.

Another beautiful image in your series Alon. Your star filter is creating a magical effect. If I'm "reading" the shot correctly the stars bottom left are reflections on the wet ground. Right?

Il ne manque plus que le son, nous avons déjà l'image . Il est très difficile de représenter la beauté des lieux et j'admire votre travail pour recréer l'ambiance de ces mille feux.

Alon,
C'est un décor pour "La Flûte Enchantée" de Mozart. Voilà ce qu'on peut penser tout de suite. C'est magnifique et magique toutes ces boules lumineuses comme dans un ciel étoilé. Bien vu !
