Photographer’s Note
Back to the Alsatian side of the Rhine to discover today a view of Husseren les Chateaux.
You can see on this photo the upper part of the Alsatian layer, with the vineyards, then the village and the Vosges mountains. Behind me, going down to the Rhine are more vineyards, then a flat part dedicated to cereals, then the Rhine.
On the top of the mountain, you can see the silhouettes of three dungeons that will be covered in later posts.

Hello Jean Yves,

Hi Jean-Yves
I like the crop you have used here as it maximises the effect that the shape of the vines have in drawing the eye into the shot. Fabulous colours, the leaves of the vines really set off the foreground wonderfully (shame the vines in my garden aren't so pretty!), and the blue of the sky contrasts really well. I like the fact that the largest building in the town is off set from the end of the trail through the vines.
Regards
Sarah

Excellent colours and light. The pathway between the vines leads us nicely to the village and then up the mountain.
Are you finding you have to use high compression on your autumn shots? One or two others have mentioned it and mine are compressed almost double that of other photos.

Bonsoir Jean yves

Bonsoir JY. Good use of the inverse v-shape of the vines to offer a strong perspective funnel towards the church and village buildings. Beautiful lighting and delightful seasonal colors all over.

Salut Jean Yves!
Always around the World but always with good shots!
I like the composition of the photo, with the small lane between wineyards and the village on the background. Colours are well saturated (some Velvia effect that I like).
Only the POV maybe could have been better: maybe shooting from a bit more on the right you can hide the small part of the road (is it a road?).
Bye!

Hola Jean Yves.
Very good perspective, the village and mountains give you a nice depth to your picture. Very well captured. Love the colours contrasts between the golden leaves, the green grass and the blue sky. Sharpness as usual is excellent. Good POV and DOF.
Very well done. TFS.

Hi Jean-Yves. What an outstanding golden hue you have captured. Each shot I see from you with this wide-angle makes me wonder how I manage without one! This shot has the appearance a polarizer was used but I don't see one listed. Nice shot JY.

A great piece of colour and light! The yellows, greens and blues are very saturated and intense. The light is also very nice, with the shadows across the grassy road and the slight haze or something giving the distant hill a feeling of distance. Beautiful area, and a a beautiful shot!

Hello JY - another superb autumn shot, I liked the simple vineyard shots, but I prefer this one showing the vines with the distant village, and the "road" leading to it, the green road has a great contrast with the orange vines.

Hi Jean...as you know, I go for colors and tones which inspire imagination.I liked very much this scenery. The sunlight coming from behind me on the right, giving way to see this winecountry. Seeing this, just make the wine, tasted so much better. Colorful, bright with a bouquet of summer.
