Photographer’s Note

This year was here, in the "Pays de Caux" in Normandy one year with poppies
Can be that weeding them are less powerful...
Can be that it was quite simply a year with poppies
It was a pleasure for the photographer who I am ;o)

Wow,
there's nothing negative to mention about this shot. Great sharpness and DOF!
I think that black&white would be interesting but actually nobody could say "no" to this kind of red!

Bonjour, Patrice. Une très belle lumière et une excellente PDF mettent très bien en valeur ce coquelicot. Le contraste avec les céréales fonctionne aussi très bien. Bien vu.

Bonjour Patrice -

Well done! An outstanding image. I like the detail in the grain stalks and the bright splash of color in a very monochrome field. Excellent POV, DOF, and exposure.

Just one question; Why do Europeans refer to all ceral grains as corn? Here in North America corn is a very specific type of grain. Corn has another name in N.A., maize, but that is generally used for a specific suborder of corn.

Just wondering - like I said before, a wonderful image.

you are showing us a very beautiful shot, which only comes alive after the thumbnail is clicked; very lovely picture with incredible crispness and colours; interesting how the poppies put out their heads from among the wheat...

une gestion de la profondeur de champ qui fait ressortir ce coquelicot de la masse des épis.une ouverture à 6.3 pourtant ! un piqué incroyable sur la fleur.Une super lumière, du travail d'artiste
