Photographer’s Note
The real tropical forest in the Guadeloupe, is located on the volcano of Basse-Terre, until 1'000 m of altitude. You will find here a lot of tree, (refer to the french text for the list, I do not know all the name in english). On the top of this forest, there are some small tree, some moss, lichen and wild pineapples. On the side of the volcano "la Soufriere", at about 1'400 m, I have foundthis beautiful flower of wild pineapple. The red flower on the top of a stem of 50 cm, is towering above the tropical forest located 600 m above.
When I was of the top, there was tenth of this plant.

Wow! I was so engrossed looking at the bromeliad plant (pineapple) that I didn't see the forest in the background. This is an incredible photo ... it grows on you. Three layers of focus ... playing tricks to your eyes. Good job!
