View of Valee Blanche from the 3842m. high observation platform on top of Aiguille du Midi. This an old old negative, taken on a weekend excursion to Chamonix, while I spent that summer studying french language at the University of Grenoble. After 14 years of global warming, I wonder how much snowpack remains, this was in August. At the time I did not have a wide angle lens, this is with 50mm, 2 years after I started taking pictures. I am posting an attempted (but unsuccessful) stitch to workshop.
Happy Bastille Day those in France enjoy the holiday weekend.

Beautiful place and photo Tan. You can remove the noise from the sky with Neat Image.

Despite the fact that there is a little bit of noise in top of the photograph, this is an impressive view. The white colors are not burned and well defined. Good exposure setting. Nice place Tan, good shot from this popular place. I like it.

This is an interesting shot. It's almost imposible to recognize where snow ends and the clouds begin. Very nice. Unlike you, I don't consider the WS version unsuccessful. It's very informative by its contents and very original by its excution. Well done!

This is quite an historical capture... as you said, global warming must have done some major damages in this area. I am planning on climbing Mt Blanc next year... then, I will be able to tell you! Nice capture anyway!Tibo
