Photographer’s Note

BRETON DANCE. . There is no doubt we dance in Brittany since the night of times! For all the occasions, the rural community found itself, meets, and dances hours during.
This is often after the great agricultural work like the harvest, beatings, pulling up of potatoes, that the dance is the occasion "to break tiredness", "to maintain the man upright", to see "to even shake its misery", it is also used sometimes as assistance with work .
Here, in the photograph, one dances the "an DRO" or its alternative the DRAO (Gallo Country).
All those which think that in Brittany one dances while being held by the small finger, observe here the behaviour by the arms and the foot flat.
The saraband by the small finger:))) be called ANDRO MOD KOH.
The music is from a song that works like this short periods of questions and answers we say "to answer".
The dances in spectacular rounds up the end of the foot with dancers who jump is called of "Gavottes Pourlet".
The dance here is led by the first couple and you will note on the left that one integrates the visitors.... :)))
