Photographer痴 Note
This is a quarry near Les Baux de Provence in the south of France. The quarrying of the stone created big caves with flat and straight walls inside the mountains. The caves were equipped with stereo music systems and slide projectors which project pictures on the walls covering the entire surface of the caves. The effect is beautiful resounding classic music in the dark and picture 5 times bigger than the visitor beaming from the walls.
A place that deserves a visit, if you are in Provence.

Interesting image - without the Photographer's Note's I am not sure the image works. Good idea to have someone in the image for a sense of scale.
Thanks for sharing

I wish I had seen this when I was in this area last fall. This was a great choice for a photo and the person adding scale is a big plus. In viewing this , I can almost feel the atmosphere of this unusual place. This is one of those freak byproducts of industrialized exploitation with a beneficial consequence --- an art object in "negative". Well done.
