Photographer’s Note
I was lucy to get such a view when I went ot Paris in March. Normally I go by train, but I guess going by plane was worth it just for the picture.
On the right hand side you can see the "Garonne River" one of the largest in france, which goes all the way up to the Atlantic. Toulouse is th European Aerospace capital. Here is the HQ of Airbus, plus there are several other companies and research institutions dedicated to this industry.
It is the 5th metropolitan area in France with around 900,000 people in the metropolitan area. Right above the bridges is the old downtown made up of old townhouses from the 1600s mostly on brick. That is why Toulouse is called "la ville rose", the pink city, as the late afternoon sun gives the city walls a pinkish hue. Sadly I missed my house by a little bit. If you see the Green Dome in the lower right hand, that is an old hospital, and I like 8 minutes walk to the right.

Tu as un très bon point de vue ici avec la vue sur la Garonne et les 3 ponts.

Hi Daniel, A beautiful bird's eye view of the city. You have well captured the city layout: along the river and built along the hill. A very nice time in taking the picture when the sun was shining at an angle to the city. A very impressive clear, detailed, well captured your city. Well done. I bet you like the city. I like it, too.

Hi Daniel,
A beautiful aerial view and very well taken despite the fixed position you are in. The river is well placed and the size of the place well portrayed. Sadly of course you missed your house. Thanks for sharing. All the best.

Salut Daniel
A good aerial shot, of the attractive city of Toulouse. I like the diagonal sweep of the river. Good sharpness & use of the river as a diagonal. C'est tres bon!

I simply love these grand views. Would be just mind blowing as a panorama, but still excellent.

Hi Daniel, glad to see your place (or almost :I)
Nice photo, nice view and details, i easely spoted the green dome. The river fulfills the compo with it's snaky formation.
Is live very diferent from Paris?

Bonsoir Daniel,
Je connais des toulousains qui seraient ravis de posséder un tel panorama.
C'est vraiment une réussite pour un cliché pris d'un avion.
Bravo pour tous ces détails que l'on peut découvrir!

Hello daniel,
Perfect view of Toulouse the "pink city". I know this town very well and there's a lot of opportunity to make perfect shot with sun lit on the monuments (jacobin, .....).
Kind regards
JMarc
