Wandering in the Saint Paul village in Paris, I went into a court and saw this green corridor. I tried a few pictures to catch some people, and I've been lucky enough to catch this girl. The walls are really green.

PPS : colour balance, brightness, contrast, curves for everything that is "inside" the door". Colour balance for the walls. Cropped...

August 19th update : I went there again this week end while making visit Paris to some friends, and now I can tell you where it is. It's in the Village Saint Paul in a series of buildings sharing some common backyards. A colour is associated to each backyard, so as you can guess, this picture was taken in the Green Backyard. The others are blue, orange and another one that I have forgotten...

Great framing on this photo. This is a very vreative way to show case the hallway and the beautiful artwork above the door and on the door itself.
We caught.

And the walls in green!

Apart fm the good colors and frame, what I like most in this pic is the very moment you've caught the girl exactly in the middle of the door.
Great shot.
Regards,
Celso

Very good idea and the overall lighting is good, not too dark inside nor overexposed out on the street. Great framing of the girl and I also like the fact that she is not in focus, as the green corridor is the real subject.

Great framing with the green corridor, Clement - and what a fortunate coincidence that the girl in red was walking by. Great reaction and timing on your behalf to snap the photo just at the right fraction of a second. Very good this one.

compliments
Pascal

Great photo. I wonder how long you had to wait in the hallway for a person to walk by. She is perfectly centered. Well done.

Yes, you can call this luck! Excellent color contrast. But taking photographs from this corridor was a very good idea and it paid off. It is a bit overexposed for my taste, but the slight motion blur is great.

great shot! now this pic def reminds me of a clip from amelie. thx for posting!

Salut Clement. Très belles photo! J'aime beaucoup la composition, le rouge et le vert vont très bien ensemble. Joli coup de chance ! Merci pour ton commentaire. Bye Quentin

Super cool shot. Good colour contrasts, red and green makes great effect in the shot. Really nice idea. And it was lucky you becuase you had a woman in red walking in the street, I would have wanted for a woman in red for 3 weeks and yet wouldn't have got a result...

The wall leads to the female. Nice composition and framing.

fantastic photo. there's something slightly sinister about this shot...someone's calling to her, or trying to pull her inside. maybe i've seen 'the shining' too many times, but that's one thing i take from this photo! its' great though. cheers, jenny

Bonjour Clément,

Certainement de longues minutes de patience justement récompensées! Le contrast entre ce couloir d'un vert (qu'on dirait venu d'un film d'horreur) et cette charmante femme en rouge fait de cette photo une vrai réussite.

Merci

Tony

I love that kind of composition. A corridor and a passby. That will always get my two points! :)
TFS,
Joel

very impressive! the green color of the walls makes this more appealing. great job!

Hi Clement,
Nice capture. Quick reaction to catch the girl right in the middle, considering she was in the frame for only a very short time. I find the shop windows a little bit distracting, and I would probably move a little bit to the left so they will not be in the picture, and also have the background divided evenly between the white wall and the blue door. TFS.

Bonjour Clement,

Reminds me of my 'Passing Thru' image. This one is very different, the green very luminating and gives more conrast to the girl in red. The image presents a study in use of colour applying the simplicity of 'less is more'!

Salut ;)
