Photographer's Note

Fontaine-de-Vaucluse (spring of Vaucluse) is the biggest spring in France. The principal point of interest lies in the source of the Sorgue river. The lowest point is found at -308m depth reached by a robot. The spring constitutes the only exit point of an underground basin being 1200 km2 size. It collects the water from the mount Ventoux, the Vaucluse mountains and from the Lure mountain. Source : wiki. Scanned picture
