Time to wrap up this series, so why not go out with the biggest smile of ‘em all? :)
Not really much to say about this finale, no story behind the picture or designed plans to shoot this scene, it was just a popular activity being played out over the Mediterranean waters while I sat beach side. There were a few different parasails being used at the time, but this one was the most amusing,…so I snapped away. Wahooooooooo!
Thanks for stopping by.
"Happy Mothers Day" to all who may be celebrating it today...and a belated wish for ones which have already happened. :)

The big smile is perfect and you have framed the shot well giving out the scale of this para-sail. Lovely day and well executed shot.
Thanks and kind regards,

I think this is quite a fitting finale, if you squint your eyes, it might look like fireworks. I'm glad you reached for your camera.
PS. the mystery man Chris is revealed in the most recent upload of mine.

The yellow color of the parachute gave a nice contrast to the photo, and it's title is a charming choice.
Nice taken the moment.
Enjoy a nice Sunday,

simpatico il paracadute, non ti sei lasciato sfuggire l'occasione per fotografare questa scena che porta con se allegria e divertimento.
siudzi (34141) 2014-05-11 2:24
This 'smile' is extremely eye-catching and beautifully captured in my opinion. Yellow and blue tones work together so well here to achieve a fantastic presentation. Very well done!
Have a nice Sunday!

Pas besoin d'explication, l'image parle de elle même :-) génial la déco de sa voile, c'est pas seulement beau par sa couleur sur le fond bleu, mais aussi très amusant, une image qui te correspond bien :-)) BRAVO
Bon dimanche a toi
cricri, (oups un rayon de soleil, chez moi :-))
PS) Grand merci, je vais me renseigner pour tout.....

For me there'd have been many firsts on TE, and I can safely say this is the first times have seen what looks like a stoned parachute! By any chance, as it fell to earth, did it say duuuuuuuude.....and then run off to a snack shop? Haha. Your series on smiles has posted many pictures of smiles, and created many more for the viewers too. They say smile and the whole world smile with you, turns out that's true, cool shot, and a great closer for the theme.
Happy Sunday from soggyville!

Good Sunday morning, Jason!
I hope you are well. Oh, yes, I have got similar photos from Turkey. The gave us good idea for the photos. Funny title, I don't understand this photo invites me to the next trip or just brings me back to my past ;))
Anyway, best wishes to you!

Hey Big Smiler!
Thought this said "Parrot Smiling" and instantly thought it might be a new take on Monty Python's famous sketch……….sorry Sunday morning brain not recovered after watching Kenny Everett win Eurovision last night. Not sure you Yankee-Doodle Dandy will understand that so you had better giggle, I mean google it!
Loved this series it has been a refreshing and original theme, and this is a cracker to finish it off. A perfect capture and presentation. As I can only swim about 10 yards before doing my famous fish out of water impression, this activity is way off limits for me and I always admire those who manage it. Did you get airborne?
That’s a wrap then!
Enjoy your Sunday.
:-) :-) :-)

Did you try this? Many years back I visited Hamilton Island in Australia. That time I almost went in to air, but in the last minute I changed my mind. Excellent photo with superb color contras, nice vertical arrangement. I like it.
Very well done.
p.s I wish answer your question. I took another photo and enlarged it. I counted around 260 sheep in the herd. Excellent natural meadow fertilizer.

Il peut se vanter d'avoir la plus belle vue en ville. J'aime beaucoup le dessin sur le parachute et le beau cadrage vertical qui rejoint les deux éléments principaux.

A nice title for a fine photo. I really don't have much to say either, just that it's a well timed composition and very nicely balanced too (if you can talk about "balance" of someone hanging high up in the air). Anyway, the horizon and the paraglider are both placed roughly at thirds. The wire connecting him to the the boat makes a thin but fine diagonal, and the buoys form a great yellow triangle along with the sail.
I wouldn't like to be up there, but it really looks like great fun.
marabu61 (10775) 2014-05-11 11:39
Now that is quite a big smile in the air indeed. Must be fun to hang up there and be towed high over the mediteranian sea.
have a great sunday

this is a wonderful capture, it's so original and looks so natural at the same time. I like very much the simple layout and soothing colours of the context, depth and movement are evoked very effectively. Such a rare, cheeky and delightful portrait, the parasail has established a playful contact with the photographer behind the paraglider's back:) Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely day,
delpeoples (57278) 2014-05-14 19:18
hehehe how could this photo not leave you smiling? It's fun and quirky and not something you see every day. You couldn't pay enough to get up in the sky like that, but it sure makes a great photo. Did you partake yourself? Anyway, lovely vivid colours to accompany the mood and a nice idea to use the vertical frame which adds even more depth.
Nice work, have a happy evening
PS: Your intro pic is HAWT! (said in the broadest Aussie accent I can muster)

nice color contrast, I like it very much!

I gotta say, this activity is NOT on my personal list of things to do before I die.
Probably because this is the activity itself that will be the cause of my death! lol
Man...have you ever you tubed parasailing? or similar searches...there are SO many people who end up crashing into the sides of hotels, crashing into the ocean...etc...not for me man! I'm safer on the ground thank you very much!
the smiling face does make it sort of cute, cute for a photo but thats it! :)
fun shot indeed.
