Saujon is a town and commune in South-West of France, located in the department of Charente-Maritime in the region Poitou-Charentes. Its inhabitants are called Saujonnais / Saujonnaises .
With 6796 (2010) inhabitants, it is now the tenth largest city in the department and ranks second among the 34 municipalities of the Urban Community of Royan. It owes this position to its geographical location, which it has learned to put to great advantage, as well as diverse natural assets that have favoured the local economy.
The city was first developed in the seventeenth century as a river port on the Seudre through its port facilities in the district of Ribérou. Thanks to its privileged position in the south-west of the department, near the bathing resort of Royan, which was also expanding, it became in the second half of the nineteenth century an important railway stop, and subsequently in the next century, a key transit point in the local road network. Its role developed through strong commercial services, becoming particularly renowned for its monthly fairs .
Since the late nineteenth century, Saujon has also become a spa and a tourist resort in a popular part of the mainland section of the Côte de Beauté. Its accommodations and sport and leisure activities have developed accordingly.

A lovely composition, with the inclusion of the vegetation in the f/g or a safe access from the left, to this fine building. I love how the stone textures are captured on the upper story
The sun was very difficult for you on this pale building. I would suggest a little selective darkening or burning on the l/h side.
Have a great day,
Did you stay in this hotel?

A good exposure on the bright white highlights with excellent sharpness and a superb angled pov. The zebra crossing at left adds lead in lines towards the building. A nice blue sky and perspective has been well managed. Bon semaine!

not sure how you manage to scare everybody off the streets in this delightful little town, but it does make for some un-distracting images of the beautiful architecture. This looks like a wonderful Hotel to stay in, just wonder I they are ever full, considering how deserted the place is, but then it is the winter season. Great image.

Excellent control over exposure to not have any part over exposed considering the bright light and the white colour of the hotel. Nice shot from perfect angle and POV. I like the contrast with the blue sky as well. Nicely done. Thanks for sharing.

Le point de vue est excellent pour nous montrer l'Hotel dans son ensemble, Toute blanche elle ressort parfaitement sur fond de ciel bleu impeccable.

Hello Stephen - You seem to have the knack of finding quiet, unpopulated streets. This must be siesta time! You've managed to balance your exposure well despite all the bright highlights and produce an attractive shot.

I had to laugh at Brian's comment, I too have thought before that you have a knack for street photographers, with no pesky humans in the shot to block out your subject, and am half envisioning that perhaps being dressed as a zombie or werewolf would clear the scene fairly sharp! haha.
This is a nice view of the hotel, and the blue sign is a very striking part of it, standing out so well against the building. Great note as always too.

Simple but pleasant-looking architectural details!
Sharpness, exposure, colors, horizontal format, chosen pov and composition really pleased me here too!
TFS - congrats,
