I did it…I found the long-lost, distant relative of Cousin Itt from the Addams Family! :) There she is, right up front…elusive, but can’t hide from my lens! lol
I was meandering around Place des Vosges, just kind of taking in the lazy afternoon atmosphere, when this line-up of people stood out from the rest of the crowds. Not for anything or anyone in particular, I just liked the way the scene came together as a whole.
Well, it ended up being more amusing than I would have ever intended. In fact, I hadn’t even noticed the ladies head position in the foreground until I returned to the hotel later that night. She turned at just the right time and angle that made it appear as if she’s nothing more than a head full of hair…I’m sure there’s a face in there somewhere though.
Thanks for stopping by. Happy weekend everyone.

I have no idea who is relative of Cousin Itt, but nice shot from Paris. Distant girl is staring at you.
I look at the photos on TE and have inspirations where I could go.. after photos of Pauil I bought the tickets to Georgia, then to Andalusia, I have no yet tickets for Paris and Barcelona, but I am working on it.
Warm regrads MAlgo

Lert's lweave the criticism about technique, out of the equation on the note here - just becouse you had a great POV in mind: You manged to add some mystery to the fact who is this hair-ball lady you talk about...?
People sit and have a calm moment, and you came and startled at least one that was looking directely at your camera.
From the angle collected, this been an interesting shot.
Enjoy a nice weekend,

As I enjoy viewing your excellent photos and reading your superb introductory notes, I also enjoy very much your comments to my photos. I believe I told you this already earlier. I wish I could meet you, to have a glass beer with you and to discuss how to improve.
By the way I like this street snapshot for one main reason, it is the excellent focusing control, i.e. gradual change from well focused foreground (the lady which is hiding her face) to well blurred BG.

It took me some time to get your drift here but after reading your note I quite get it, it is funny indeed. Place des Voges is definitely one of my favorite places in Paris. I like the way here how you have used the shallow DOF to give the composition a nice depth.
have a great weekend

After years of campaigning, finally the Addams family can walk in public without fear of reprisal, and that can only be a good thing. I salute you cousin It, may your hair fly free in the wind! hahaha, I like your way of thinking when you capture shots Jason. Its a great scene alright, the depth of field being for me one of the most outstanding aspects, life in motion frozen for all eternity. Nicely seen and captured.
Best wishes from the stormy rock.

love the way you play here with depth. It´s definitely something, that makes your shot so exquisite. And of course the way you composed and framed the scene-it´s just like you wrote-this line-up of people sitting there and enjoying the lazy atmosphere just asked to be photographed.
And it´s another time I´m really delighted how excellently you were able to convey unique atmosphere of Paris.
Have a nice weekend

Your love to Paris is visible on every single photo you have taken in this charming city. Like this one a lot! It is a nice sight of that beautiful place. Very well observed and smartly composed. TFS!

Why dont you watch admire and enjoy Walter White instead of remembering such a disgusting familly?
Appart from that, quite understand your disappointment while looking at the photos at the hotel
Once I have a great surprise, after taking some photos at a ferry in Egypt (not digital ones) once in Argentina I discover some covered women smiling at the camera, was very moving
Here because of the turning of her head ( for sure she did it on purpose)the woman becomes the protagonist cousin of the capture
Not joke now, good tecnique to blur the BG while a far distant woman watch at you

Nice daily life scene from Paris.
A little bit blurred but still good effect and layout.
TFS and best regards

At first glance, it look relatively normal as we here the profile fo her body and head full of hair. But since you mention it, I now imaging she is actually looking straight at you through the head of hair :) Yes, since I look at it that was it is pretty funny. Otherwise, it is a nice casual and relaxing atmosphere image. It depicts the lazy afternoon at the park very well. It is good to see these type of images other than the typical landmarks, there are plenty of those, including my own :)

Excellent daily life street photo, and you note reminds me a school essay ;) Very interesting story. I see you have got big nostalgia for Paris. Yes, I want to jump into so lazy afternoon atmosphere too. ;))
Best wishes, my friend!

The line of trees and people starting sharp and with increasing blur is generating a lovely sense of distance. A great photo of daily life from Paris, TFS.
