Here is a photo of a doorway in the 1st level of the cathedral of Albi , this level , located in the oldest part of the building is almost blind with the only openings to the outside such small windows. Doorways and thick walls evoke more a fortress than a cathedral .
According to Wikipedia:
Sainte- Cécile d' Albi Cathedral is the seat of the Archdiocese of Albi in the Tarn department in France . It is set on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Tarn. A century was required for its erection, 1282-1390 .
Sainte-Cécile cathedral, classified with the Episcopal City of Albi since July 31, 2010 on the World Heritage List of Unesco, is today one of the most visited France.1 cathedrals. The archbishopric ( Albi , Castres and Lavaur ) is occupied by Mgr Jean Legrez .
The building surprised by the contrast between its austere exterior appearance of a military fortress and the pictorial and sculptural richness of its interior.

really like the way you utilized here the light to create the whole mood of the scene.
It´s like the light at the end of the tunnel-very evocative composition.
Have a nice weekend

Tu as utilisé la lumière pour créer une belle ambiance qui met en valeur les matériaux. C'est bien composé et bien vu.

Hi Bonsior dear Magaly, how are you here?
Very sorry for my late reaction as so busy weekday recently. This is so artstic and poetic image indeed.
Perfect angle, freamwork and exposure for the light management. Very Very high quality image by your keen inspiration.
All the best and have a good day! TAKERO

Excellent composition, creative, but the window is completely "burned". It could and should have been better. But the rest is so good that deserves praise!
