Photographer's Note

The present castle was built on the site of an ancient motte (Motte du Plessis) by Lancelot Boucart. This castle built in a largely medieval style remain the shell of the gatehouse, exterior walls and corner towers of the castle.
It is located in the town of Le Noyer in Cher department
The castle as it stands today is largely due to Antoine de Boucard, a gentleman of the house of Francis, fighting wars of Italy, who built around 1520 in the style of the early Renaissance a new home in the southern corner of the court.
