Not quite sure if this really works or not but anyway my train from Nice to Marseilles passed some lovely coastal scenery and I wanted to record it. I've incorporated the motion blur of the express train and levelled the horizon and cropped. Hope you like it. Taken somewhere near St Tropez.

The distance between the shore and the horizon is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details, the colors of the coastline and of the houses. The good luminosity is bringing out the beauty of the colors. Have a nice day.

Hi Chris, There is a bit of blurr in the lower part, but who wouldn't be tempted to make a shot of this marvelous coast. Wonderful different colours of the sea, no wonder it is called Côte d'Azur, Splendid rocks.

a shot that typifies I think your whistle stop tour of Europe. An almost don't blink or you will miss it image. Hey! but it works for me and has that little touch of adventure and reality about it. Creative stuff!
Regards from yet another wet autumn day here in England - B.

I don't mind the movement blur in the bottom part of the image, it helps set the scene and nicely complements your note. The title and the colours say it all. Thanks for sharing.

The dilema always exist: to shoot or not, while a fast moving train is riding through a beautiful beachs (or other attractive sights). Good chice made positively. Always worth to shoot. Fabulous rocky seashore along, and the view on far side is very sharp - the blured area gave strong dynamic scale by the train swift pass.
Fantastic colors contrast collected.

We see clear the movement of the train in these picture, but this is absolutely not disturbing.
Excellent sharpness and clarity, we see almost all details, this is really so lovely.
Composition and presentation are pleasant to look at.
Very well done, TFS.

J'aime beaucoup l'effet de mouvement à l'avant plan que donne la vitesse du train ainsi que la netteté du paysage au loin. J'aime la luminosité et la beauté du paysage.

I can feel the speeding train but you did a wonderful job capturing this beautiful scene. Good pov and dof with nice details even from a moving platform. Wonderful colors. Well done, tfs.

You have obtained the interesting blurring of plants near the train, beautiful land/seascape, this is so idyllic view, we can feel the wind from the sea

L'avant plan est très dynamique...mais une belle prise du paysage net aux couleurs très chaudes, donc bravo pour cette image depuis le train

I think it is a pretty good photo. Obviously, if National Geographic had sent you on an assignment to photograph St. Tropez, they would not be satisfied with this. They would expect you to get off the train, explore the landscape and take your time for your photographs. But tourism photography is not the same. We tourists do not have the luxury of time and are limited by our itineraries. I would say, you have made the best of your train ride through this area. Good job!
PS. Why off to Istanbul for your residence permit? Aren't these things done in Ankara? Anyway, best of luck.

I enjoy this game very much too. I've played it in Athens and Patmos so far, it's fascinating to anticipate frames of a place you don't know well from the vantage point of a moving car:) I like this picture and the movement and transience it conveys. A beautiful place and the holiday spirit, a sight you appreciate although you spent only a few seconds there. Motion in the foreground and a clear well balanced view ahead is a great combination. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a good night,
