7PM, it's time to go shopping for dinner. I overhang the city street, well backlighted. So now, I have to wait for a subject, with its stretched shadow. Here a biker (see WS), but I propose you a corrected version, with only the upsidedown shadow, more powerfull in my opinion.

I must say this is an excellent idea. Very well seen and captured. nice sharpness. b/w choice worked well here.
Nice composition. Liked the WS picture as well.

Agree with you that this version has something really cool than the image submitted as workshop, however the view of a biker and absolutely fantastic back-light is impressive as well. Taken with artistic touch. Brilliant work!
Have a nice weekend!

you have such a great eye for something different and this shot is testament to that. Original and beautifully captured it becomes a work of art in its own right. I applaud you, and I love it!
Enjoy your weekend - Brian.

Very cleverly conceived and executed. Thanks for the WS, enabling us to to see not only how it was done, but to marvel again at the quality of your inversion and the final crop. Clearly my favourite for the day. Very well done.

Hello, immediately captivating to the eye, this image plays little games with contrast, and perspective. So creative in my humble opinion. Good graphic and it really shows a higher level of talent and artistry.

The ws photo would have been a great upload, but this one is more amusing. You have used the striking shadow very cleverly and cropped the photo perfectly.

Hello Claude - I think both shots work really well. Here the crop and perfect positioning of the wheels on the lower edge of the frame combines with the diagonal line of the crossing makes for a powerfully graphic shot.
Have a great Sunday. Rosemary

A very well seen picture and a perfectly cropped scene. Artistic and elegant!
Bartleby (13552) 2013-10-06 6:56
d'accord avec toi cette version 'tête à l'envers' est beaucoup mieux. Super cadrage et effet garanti.
abmdsudi (48759) 2013-10-06 7:40
Lovely long shadow projected on the pavement and nicely fills and dominates the frame diagonally while avoiding at the point of being burnt out under strong intense light. Great ideas by inverting and the sense of awe really comes through in this image. Well done Great capture. TFS

What a novel idea! The shadow is ok, but the upside-down concept is really creative.
Great timing and a fantastic measurement to hold this in vertical frame.
Tfs an outstanding one.

Superbe recadrage pour une résultat très dynamique.
Tout est excellent dans cette image, la composition, le cadrage, le sens du mouvement, la gestion du contraste, des lignes diagonales, tout !!
Un grand moment.

macjake (63166) 2013-10-21 2:13
yes, more powerful and creatively smart too.
so much in the CLODO style!
love seeing the tires flat against the bottom frame!
and having this scene set up with the white cross walk is even better.
congrats on this dynamic and fun photo

A smart observation, and an outstanding result! Of the two, I do prefer this main post and I applaud your vision to create this type of graphic effect with the play of light and shade. Impressive too that this was captured so well with a moving object. Creative and visually attractive, this is a wonderful image with artistic flare. Bonne journée

Hi Claude, well, this is the kind of capture that I like very much, generally, as in this case, the inverted photo brings us a discovery of a new dimension, cheers :) Daniel
