Photographer's Note

This is a third photo from the harbour of Calvi and this time, contrary to my two previous posts, including some boats. In the background you could see the Citadel. The Citadel stands atop a rocky promontory and was built by the Genoese in the 15th century. The citadel is surrounded by high walls an inside the walls is the old town of Calvi, with many houses and winding alleys. In the citadel you also find the Governor’s palace and the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist.
