Photographer's Note

Carcassonne, the well known Cité.
The medieval architectural complex is registered to the World Heritage of UNESCO since 1997.

Here a view of ther West walls and the towers of the castle of earl wich has its own fortifications.

At the bottom of the Cité there is a little island of 33 hectares on the river Aude.
On this land stand some house, trucker gerdens and a big car park for the high touristic season.
The municipality has just voted a project to transform the place in a garden which could welcome impermanent exhibitions, like at Chaumont garden (Loir-et-Cher).

Then the island will be a natural link between the high-city and the lower-city.
