In Celles, on banks of the Salagou lake, the calm water, the reeds, the sky, the clouds, the trees, the ruffes.

_ The CELLES village, on shore of SALAGOU lake which is a very popular tourist destination in summer with tourists and fishermen, is in a rocky landscape characterized by intense erosion and a red color: the RUFFES

_ The RUFFES, called pelites by the geologists are sedimentary rocks very friable whose origin goes up at the end of the primary era from 280 to 225 million years. Their red color is due to the presence of iron oxide. The builders of the past used the ruffes much to build there the capitelles ones, kind of stone huts, low and arched, which were used as shelters to the shepherds and to vine growers, and whom one still meets in the landscape. Vegetable cover is very poor, some trees and shrubs.

_ The SALAGOU LAKE located 45 kilometers west of Montpelier, result of the construction from 1964 to 1969 of a dam 357 m long 63 m high, in the town of Clermont-l'Hérault, on SALAGOU brook which flows into the LERGUE. Its 125 000 000 m3 of water for irrigation, extend over 750 hectares in the municipalities of Clermont-l'Hérault, Liausson, Octon, and Celles.

_The SALAGOU river takes its source to 250 m of altitude at the foot of of the Castle of Malavieille ruins, close to the Lieude hamlet, on the Mérifons comune, in the department of Hérault. After crossing the lac of Salagou, it flows in the river Lergue in the department of Herault after a course of 20.8 km and the crossing of a catchment area of 76 km². Its flow is very irregular. _ The LERGUE is a river which rises to 704 meters on the CAUSSE du LARZAC, in the municipality of Les Rives near the hamlet of Les Sièges in the Lauroux municipality in the department of Herault, which she joined the plain after a high vertical drop. After running for 44.9 km and crossing a watershed of 428km², it flows into the river Hérault in Canet. The lergue description.

CELLES is a French commune, located in the department of the Herault of the Languedoc-Roussillon area, populated of 22 Cellois in 2009, distributed on 7,6 km², that is to say 2,9 hab./km².

_ The commune is crossed by the Lergue and the Salagou brook.

The village of Celles was to be submerged according to the preliminary draft, but the height of the dam was re-examined.
The village was expropriated at the time of the setting in water of the dam of Salagou, and is since with the state of ruins except the church and the town hall.

In 1985, were turned there scenes of film Zone Rouge of Robert Enrico, with the actors Sabine Azéma and Richard Anconina.

Bonjour Joël,

Les reflets sur l'eau du lac sont des atouts à la composition. La longueur du lac donne de la profondeur à l'image. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails et les couleurs des montagnes. La bonne luminosité met en valeur les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

Les eaux sont d'un très grand calme ce qui permet cet effet miroir impressionnant.Le point de vue au ras de l'eau donne beaucoup de profondeur à l'ensemble.

Bien vu, ce titre, c'est vrai que les reflets invitent à la réflexion, d'où l'intérêt de se trouver au bord des cours d'eau, pour réfléchir et photographier... les reflets ! Avec un beau ciel nuageux, des arbustes et des roseaux sur chaque rive, la palette des couleurs est riche et contrastée : une invitation à méditer sur le temps qui passe et qui s'écoule...

Hello Joel,
a very beautiful, serene and suggestive view, an absolutely brilliant composition of morbid diagonal lines and curves. The sense of depth and perspective, enhanced by the cloud above the lake is irresistible. Hi Joel,

You're capturing well this landscape by a good composition and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the landscape with peaceful and timeless atmosphere. THe river is clean and calm, both of riverbank shows spring green and it's impressive in low mountains. And, the reflection of clouds projected to the rive draws out an additional beautiful effect in this image. Excellent landscape work!

les reflets sur le lac doublent la beauté de ce paysage que tu nous offres au moyen d'un cadrage très efficace, dans une image très nette et avec une profondeur fantastique.

très belle photo, très claire, aux couleurs pures et à la perspective et netteté excellentes ... La lumière est superbe, tout comme la composition...
