The CHÂTEAU DES MILANDES 15th 19th 20th centuries built in 1489, in Périgord Noir, is close to the VALLEY OF THE DORDOGNE in the municipality of Castelnaud-la-Chapelle. Registered on historic monuments in 1986 and 2009.

The church or chapel of Milandes du 15th century. Registered on historic monuments since 1926.

The CHÂTEAU DES MILANDES rented by Joséphine Baker and her husband from 1937, became Joséphine Baker's property in 1947 until its sale in 1968.

_ The DORDOGNE is formed in its origin, of brooks taking their spring up to 1694 meters in height, on the sides of the Puy de Sancy in the Massif Central. After a course of 483 kilometers, and the crossing of a catchment basin of 23870 km², it flows in the Garonne, at the bec d'Ambès in the estuary of Gironde, before joining the Atlantic Ocean. CASTELNAUD-LA-CHAPELLE is a french municipality, located in the department of the Dordogne of the Aquitaine region, populated 47 Castelnaudéziens en 2009, distributed out of 20.9 km², that is to say 22.8 hab./km².

In the Périgord Noir, the village of Castelnaud-la-Chapelle is one of the most beautiful village of France.
