The château de La Malartrie, the late 19th century, is on the territory of the municipality of Vézac, in the Périgord Noir, in the DORDOGNE valley, near the village of La Roque-Gageac.

The chateau was built in Renaissance style in the late 19th century by Auguste Comte de Sainte-Aulaire, the family of Beaupoil de Saint-Aulaire.

_ The DORDOGNE is formed in its origin, of brooks taking their spring up to 1694 meters in height, on the sides of the Puy de Sancy in the Massif Central. After a course of 483 kilometers, and the crossing of a catchment basin of 23870 km², it flows in the Garonne, at the bec d'Ambès in the estuary of Gironde, before joining the Atlantic Ocean. The status of the Dordogne made sometimes discusses, between that of an tributary river of the Garonne, or that of a river flowing into the Atlantic Ocean, by the estuary of the Gironde.

VÉZAC is a french municipality, located in the department of the Dordogne of the Aquitaine region, populated 617 Vézacois in 2004, distributed out of 13 km², that is to say 47,6 hab./km².

In the municipality of Vézac, crossed by the Dordogne, in the Périgord Noir, there are the chateau and the gardens of Marqueyssac of 15th 17th centuries, near Domme, Castelnaud-la-Chapelle, Beynac-et-Cazenac, La Roque-Gageac.
