Is Sunday morning something very special to you? We tend to sleep till late. We refrain actively from telephoning each other, and we tend not to visit each other. The shops in Europe are most likely closed, and there are fewer people in the streets. I remember well how it was in Paris. These mornings were always met with special feelings. I used to wake up very early in the morning and I used to sit by the window for a long time. During the week I had no time to enjoy the view out of the windows in this very tiny room, but Sunday mornings were very special, preparing for myself an elaborate breakfast, listening to music, or just simply thinking of nothing particular was very pleasant. I have just found this photo the other day; I liked the time spent at the window. It is very interesting how one simple photograph like this would allow me to relive the long forgotten moment in the past. A photograph without a date, this was my Sunday morning.

des couleurs délicates dans des lumières d'intérieur et un contre jour bien dosés, un cadrage bien pensé, une définition et une finesse un peu faible.

Now I have started reading your critiques to others also. They are very creative and meaningful. You make everything very interesting.
What a beautiful shot with such a lovely atmosphere. I like that small table covered with the beautiful bluish table cloth with a glass cup for water perhaps? The chair with matching cushion provides nice comfort for sitting. The purple curtains are tied to let the morning light in. Beautiful view of the colored leaves and other plants. A perfect place and perfect time to enjoy the morning without any disturbances. The whole atmosphere is beautiful .
With warm regard,
Preparing for another Sunday morning.

Greetings Nobu san,What a splendid room with super window view.I have this poem to share with you, The view outside my window
Never stays the same
The picture is always changing
From dawn to dusk
And as each season come to call
Winter, spring, summer and fall
Winter with its blanket of white
That covers every living thing
Icicles sparkle like jewels under a cold days sun
Spring sees a sea of green
And with it new life begins to stir
From every living thing
Summer captivates with colours
The flying things are back
Flitting from flower to flower like a fickle lover
Then the autumn comes to call
Colours fade and die to dusky brown
The harvest begins in earnest
Bountiful food supply snapped up by hungry mouths
Before the chills of winter
Again begin to call. Poem by David Harris. Hope you like it, Cheers Iain.

Hello Nobu - What a splendid location to sit and enjoy a leisurely Sunday breakfast. It looks so sumptuous with the beautifully draped window looking out over the trees. I love the light in this, evocative and perfect casting a soft look over the cloth and cushion an just revealing the rich red of the curtains. Very attractive work. Warm regards Rosemary

A really nice capture, and certainly a Sunday atmosphere:)! Light is good - it lets us see the details inside and the golden trees outside are perfect!A really good and interesting capture! Well seen, as usual!

Ciao mon cher Nobuccio-san
Oh yes, I can imagine you sitting at this window with your coffee and croisant contemplating the day to come. What an elegant scene, beautifully lit with that special Nobu-light. Ahh the luxury of sleeping in on a Sunday, one of the few pleasures in life that come free of charge. Although I did not get to enjoy it this weekend baby-sitting a 5 year old :)
Have a lovely Sunday, and thanks for sharing

I like the mood of this shot and the note you wrote to explain it. Yes, you are very close of what could be a Sunday's spirit.
The interest of this shot is I guess coming from the rendering of the light. With low light inside but still giving details and with warm colors from outside, both are giving dynamism to the view.

yes, Sunday morning is special.... and this is a lovely composition, it's perfect to begin a Sunday, I like the image very much, the light is excellent, congratulations,

The composition, poetic, romantic, nostalgic is very well explained by your excellent note. The composition is particularly well made, very harmonious. The exposure is remarkable. The light is mastered. Colors, and neatness are excellent. Congratulations.
Have a nice day

A simple symphony of leisure...an equipoise of diagonals...a harmony of light and dark and primary colors...
And only in Paris would my table ever be so uncluttered!
Also, usually on Saturday or Monday, not often on a Sunday, but then I have an unusual work schedule...
Thank you for this lovely slice of your life, Nobu!

This is a perfect photo of an ideal Sunday morning all is calm, muted and peaceful inside but just peek through the curtains and it is bright and colourful outside. Lovely composition.
All the best

As always a highly engaging note augments the atmosphere created by the photo. The red curtains drawn to allow just enough light, and extraordinary ambiance set up by the golden leaves of autumn. In addition, for me there are the repeated spiral patterns. The two larger one facing each other (above and to the right of the glass) are my curves of interest, they are the logarithmic spirals. (In distinction the far less interesting Archimedian spirals had been known for millennia.) In the early 17th century there were a pair of Swiss brothers, gifted mathematicians, Jean and Jacques, who were always at each other's throats. Jacques actually discovered the equation of the logarithmic spiral, and requested that when he died, the figure would be inscribed on his headstone. When the time came, and he died, his brother, a despicable character, had an Archimedian spiral carved on Jacques gravestone.
Have a good weekend,

Hello dear Nobu-san
Interesting piece of picture...or is it a metaphor of the mind..opening a wee bit to allow us to peep in. The mild light seeps through the space between the curtains & illuminates the table & part of the chair..reflective of the person? perhaps!
Simple, but a metaphorical work...something perhaps I cannot ever conceive in mind!
Best Regards Nubu-san & have a nice week ahead

Very good use with the curtain, Nobu, to creat a nice shape on the window, and show the outside view with perfect clearity.
fabulous yellow and green.
