Photographer’s Note

This picture was taken in the little city of La Garde, outside of Toulon. It is situated on the shore of the Mediterranean sea and they say it has one of the most beautiful bays in Europe.
I wish I had a better camera at the time to capture the beautiful morning. This picture is a scan. Hope you like it.

This scene is so similar to Nam-O Beach, 20 km North of Danang city, Vietnam. Of course I like it. Thanks for sharing.

Nice picture. You have managed to get good details on the rocks and the water. I would have tried to rotate the camera a little bit more towards your left to get more of the shoreline. Good shot.

What a beautiful and dramatic coast this is. I do so love the mediterranean.

As for the photo itself I think the colours are very pleasing and not too accentuated, but the composition could be stronger. The main issues are that the horizon is tilted to the left by a few degrees and the splash of the wave is too central. One useful rule of thumb is to have the focus of attention at the 1/3 point - from the top or bottom and left or right. This tends to result in a picture that makes the brain see something more interesting and dynamic. Of course, there are times when the focus of attention being central or at an edge can also be very powerful, but probably not for this type of seascape.

Nonetheless, this looks like a great memoire of a visit to a gorgeous place.
