Quartet, a photo from Ile-de-France, North

Photographer's Note

On this day I visited Carnavalet Museum again. And as I came out from the there, in the backyard of the Historic Library of the City of Paris, I found them singing, singing medieval songs. They were all dressed in appropriate colourful costumes from the period. There was a multitude of people where this event was taking place. As I wanted to photograph them singing, I would have liked to be in the first row. But that's life; the people who had the privilege of arriving there earlier than I already occupied the entire front row. So, I gradually moved my way among the people and I finally succeeded at finding a place in the second row. As you can see in the photo, I included some of the audience in order to capture the cheerful atmosphere of this tiny but a very lively event. I am still not certain about the anachronism that I created by including a couple in the first row. You will be the judge.
In my next posting, I will be able to present the three ladies to you in their colourful costumes.

Interesting subject and interesting composition, nice idea to include de audience on firts line,very good colours and a nice moment really well captured...I like it!!

You chose the audience members well, Nobu. One can tell from their backs that they are listening intently and very involved. Beautiful group of singers. and although the colors seem random, there is a bit of blue sky reflected in the windows which picks up the blue plaid shirt very nicely!
And, as always with Nobu, there is a subtle play of horizontal lines of the window frames and the listeners - well framed.

The traditional costumes are main asset to the compo., Nobu, and imaginable hearing the singing through...

Hi Nobu,
the quartet as singing in the backyard of the historic Library of Paris is nice as there are a lot of people hearing their Medieval songs.Good presentation as good reportage shot from the daily life of Paris.

Hello Nobu,

One man and three women, this quartet shall nice singing with four attune.
One advice my friend, I would a little bit cropping above and the part of window do disappear.
Technical a good image, good depth and perspective.
Soft colors nice depth good presentation too.
Very well done, TFS.

Hello dear Nobu,

It must have been very interesting to hear them sing midieval songs wering those costumes appropriate for that period. They have chosen the right place to render these songs in their beautiful voices. I am sure one must be hearing only the songs nothing else. I see how the people in front of you listening intensly without even turning their heads. Their colorful costumes also grab the attention. Even the windows of the libray look charming . Beautiful atmosphere with beautiful people and the photographer.
