Photographer’s Note
The mining cottage is an alignment of red brick houses (made based on clay) in the mine fields. These dwellings were free for the workmen of the mine. Today the mines are closed and these houses are always free for the pensioners of the mines but are proposed with rent moderated for the other tenants... At the time of the mine was exploited, there were houses on each side of the street.
