Photographer's Note
Back after a short break...think I needed some time off...not that I don't enjoy sharing with you on the site but sometimes you need to catch your breath...So here's a photo from Lyon again with a building that caught my eye because of its old-fashioned-50s-style futuristic aspect...It actually harbors the EDF GDF, in charge of electricity and gas...

Bonsoir Philippe
Bon WE
Bien amicalement

fantastic!
it looks like a time capsule... the fact that there's not a human element or presence to be seen gives it a peculiar atmosphere, as if we had landed in a strange, deserted future world and found signs of a past civilization... but with no people left to greet us.
very nice PP work - I like dual toning (more blueish on the left, sepia on the right) and the way the building literally rolls in from the side, as if someone had cast this giant die...
have a nice weekend!

Hi Philippe,
TFS!

Sympa ta photo du vendredi soir... tu cherches à me gâcher mon WE en me rappelant pour qui je travaille ? EDF... Je te revaudrai ça, compte sur moi ! ;)
Bon WE court ! :)

Hello Philippe - Minimal, graphic and really well seen and composed. I think the framing of this shot is excellent, the negative space with the hint of clouds is in perfect harmony with the building. TFS and have a good weekend. Rosemary

Hi Philippe. When I saw the thumbnail, I wondered about the object. The open Photo solves the mystery. Before reading the text I had to guess which country is the house. France? Yes! I know that have the architect in France (after the 2nd World War) constructed such houses. Your photo is a successful shot. Rgds, Wolfgang.

Bonjour Philippe,
Amicalement,

Hi Philippe
Fantastic viewpoint choosing the right lighting and the angle. Excellent crop of this windows creating really a brilliant graphical image with strong patterns, lines and shapes, and detail highlights. Nice conversion to B&W for stronger impact and stunning contrast to dark sky area. Creative ideas and well captured. Congrats

Bonjour Philippe. Strong visual impact initially due to the odd architecture which is rendered even more dramatic by your sloping POV and the effect of the polarizer. Excellent texture and sharpness. Unusual. Amicalement. Klaudio.
