Little village in the French region of Jura. The main attraction is a Benedectine abbey Founded in the sixth century. the monastery was already important before the millennium and continued to prosper in the Middle Ages. The revolution brought an abrupt end to his existence: the goods were confiscated and monks scattered, destroyed the monastery, the monastery buildings converted into homes and given to peasants. Despite the damage, there are still vestiges testify to the richness and power of "gentlemen", including the abbey church and the arched doorway overlooking the old courtyard of the cloister, which stands a fountain in the sixteenth century.

Ciao Alessandro ,
The not so good weather provides two effects here : a bad one , as the white sky , and and excellent one , as the soft light on the old stones and the fine tonalities of green . And the view of this little village is splendid , with the little road in the FG .

Bella città con case in pietra con piastrelle naturale. Cielo coperto rende il quadro è molto romantico.

Hello my dear Alessandro
Simple but very much tasteful landscape.
Perfect tight framework and composition as usual.
Thick and soft color balance is marvelous indeed.
Blessing on your finest work and have a good day!

Buona sera Alessandro,
Ottima visione di questo piccolo borgo, con le sue case tradizionali ben conservate. Mi piace anche l'ambiente circostante ricco di vegetazione lussureggiante.
Un caro saluto,

Ciao Alessandro, Very impressive buildings. They certainly appear ancient with the architecture and finish of the structures. The road leading to the Abbey and the village gives good depth to the shot. I like old villages like this. I have seen several like this in Bavaria and Austria. Very well done. Regards, Roger

A very pretty village, beautifully captured and so appropriately presented in panoramic proportions. Only one or two small elements, like the cars, make us aware that this village is in the 21st century. The small amount of white sky is not important in this very atmospheric photo. The buildings are so well captured, not too sharp, and the foreground and curving road make a great lead-in for the eye. An elegant photograph and good note.

very attractive composition, I like the patch of the houses with similar style set against a nice green background.
I would consider enhancing the contrast here I think it would make the photo more vivid and eye catching.
Very well captured.
Have a good weekend,
