Photographer’s Note

This is the " Maison Carrée" in Nîmes ( First century A.C.).
"Pure example of the idea of the Roman temple. The Latin innovating genius transforms the religious beauty of the Greek temple into the majesty that agrees to the Empire".(Historia del Arte, Ediciones Vicens-Vives, S.A., publisher).
Nowadays the building is used like a museum of itself.

Fine example of architecture you spotted here Pablo - I like sight even the wall look a little "used" - may be I would have tried a portrait format in order to get the staircase complete - Good with people as well and they would be hard to avoid - thanks for sharing.

Belle photo de ce monument à Nîmes. La symétrie est parfaite. Toutefois, j'ai éffectué un petit atelier pour corriger la perspective et la balance des couleurs.

Pas facile de photographier la Maison Carrée, les couleurs sont autenthiques et bien saturées; un léger ajustement de la perspective est nécéssaire.

Bien. Veo que has envíado tu prometida foto de Nimes. Cómo sabes, me gusta esta ciudad que merecía tener más fotos en TE. Este edificio no es fácil de fotografiar y te felicito por lo que has conseguido.

Nice sunny picture. The colours are a bit pale/with, but the building is very intresting and nice.

Hola Pablo!
Buena foto de un hermoso templo romano, ojalá tuviésemos en casa alguno tan bien conservado como este. El hecho de tomar la foto desde más abajo enfatiza la sensación de grandiosidad del edificio. Me gusta, la única pega es que hay demasiados turistas pululando... Pero es cojonuda.
Ahí van otros 2 puntitos!
