The informal gardens of Versailles tucked off to the side of a stairway. Here one can smell the lavender in bloom. The boxed trees on the left are citrus trees which are moved indoors during the winter months.

The picture shows that not full of glory at Versailles. But also that the marginal things, a little care, be nice and cared for. Good. You all find it. Nice colors, good contrast. And there, at the back .... so it seems that we are at Versailles.

Hello Dave ,
I like a lot this no so common view of Versailles . This is not the great castle , but a pretty little place . Buildings are interesting , and the garden is beautiful , full of colors , even with some wild grasses . Excellent framing .

It's nice to see the "working" side of Versailles. Well found and captured! Beautiful light and colors. Your composition is good but could use a little more definition. May I suggest a little cropping on the left to prevent the eye wandering outside the main image (see WS).
