Photographer’s Note
Less known than the towers, but equally remarkable, the genoese bridges are an important component of the Corsican patrimony. They were built mostly during the XV & XVIth centuries by the republic of Genua to develop the economy and encourage exchanges between communities.
Masterpieces of technicity, their beautiful arches cross the rivers of Corsica with great elegance.
The photo displays the bridge near Calacuccia (or at least I think it's that one, please correct me if I'm wrong) in the Niolu region of central Corsica.

P.S. it's the first photo I post with a frame, do you prefer my photos with or without frame ?

Salut Jean Yves
Excellent depth & perspective. I like the 2 assymetrical duos on the diagonal rock slope. Great tonal range, & an informative note. Tres bon!

Bonjour Jean Yves,
Compliments

Nice composition Jean! The inclusion of the people in the foreground enjoying the view helps add the scale. Lovely detail in the hill beyond contrasting well with the sky at the top.
Compliments,

I think phillipe has made the necessary arranjements in his workshop so there's not much to say in that matter. I will just say that the framing is great and the palcement of that couple in the right is the key in this image. They give a human character to this nice landscape and beautiful bridge and "fill" the image with their presence.

great picture, but the workshop on it does improve it, as it was the sharpness and contrast i was worried about, a nice view and just the right amount of sky, well done!
ps maybe the white frame is ok, but i do not like the writing in the frame, i find it quite distracting

A very well balanced compo here Jean Yves...And also a very common view in western Greece where they are a lot of wonderful bridges like this one in similar suroundings! The fifures of the persons around are giving a touch of "life" in the picture.

Quite an impressive sight, Jean Yves. The bridge makes a good interest in front of the mountain slope, and the people gazing at the scenery are well included in your composition and help to pull the viewer into the photo. Philippe's WS pretty much sums up the improvements I was about to suggest, so I'll take a shortcut here ;-) Well done.

Belle image !

Very nice, what a beautiful place. Very well composed with the bridge at the bottom and the massive cliff in the background, it draws the eye upward the picture. Well done to include some people, it enrichs the composition. Well done Jean Yves!
