Photographer’s Note

- In my region – Provins Medieval City – The Collegiate Church of St. Quiriace - Dating from the 11th Collegiate is located at the top of the hill on which the city has installed. Provins is located about 70 kilometres from Paris, dating former the Middle Ages, it's however in this epoch when it had most notability, after Paris and Rouen, it was the third city of France under the protection of the Champagne Earls, it was famous for its huge fairs. The city is famous for its medieval fortifications, 1200 metres long and including 22 towers in various geometries, the surrounding wall of the high city was constructed from 1226 till 1314. Classified in the worldwide Heritage of the humanity by the UNESCO, Provins preserve today 58 monuments classified or inscribed to the Inventory of Ancient monuments!

I had the pleasure of visiting this church some 29 years ago when I live for 2 years in France (Rueil Malmaison). It is a very beautiful place.
The shot is excellent with superb colours and excellent POV. Well done.

Un POV en légère contre-plongée très bien choisi et qui valorise agréablement cette belle collégiale. j'aime beaucoup le contraste entre le désordre de la végétation à l'avant-plan et l'architecture ordonnée de l'édifice religieux.

A wonderful sight! I like how this impressive church grows out of all this greenery and how it really towers the landscape. The beautiful sky here adds a lot to the atmosphere of this photo.

Rich colours and fine details in the church!
A balanced composition with the subject surrounded by green foliage and the deep blue sky as effective background...
I notice the touch of rust colour in the roofs - very nice!

C'est curieux , on a l'impression d'être beaucoup plus au sud . C'est une très belle image ou le superbe édifice emerge de la végétation . Très jolie lumière aussi . Cette ville de Provins vaut apparemment le détour .

Une émission de la série "Des Racines et des Ailes" a été consacrée aux richesses de Provins. Ta photo est très réussie avec cette collégiale qui semble surgir de la nature sous un très beau ciel et une très belle lumière.
