Photographer’s Note
This was taken during the early evening as we walked along the city walls in Beaune. The last rays of sunlight were striking the buildings along the wall giving them a warm glow. If the road and sidewalk look slanted that is because it was. It was also very uneven walking, I twisted my ankle just after taking this shot and had a black and blue ankle for the rest of the trip.
Beaune is a commune in eastern France, a sub-prefecture of the Côte-d'Or department in the Bourgogne region.
The area around Beaune, the Côte de Beaune, is known for its Burgundy wines, with Beaune (although lacking a Grand Cru vineyard within the commune) as the hub of the local wine business. Beaune is renown for its annual charity wine auction on behalf of the Hospices de Beaune.
It is situated on the route des Grands Crus tourist route among the vineyards. The road runs north from Beaune to Gevrey Chambertin and Nuits-Saint-Georges and south to Nolay, Saisy and Autun.

HI Asa
From beer to wine ;-)
Good image of the city walls, which is not really what people come to visit in Beaune... given the mean light I hope you took your tripod and a dive into the cellars ;-)))
Have a nice day JY

Hello Asa,
A good point of view on these fortifications with the wall and pavement making excellent lead lines. I like also the presence of the lamp and the trees, which make a nice contrast with the pinkish tones of the stonework. Very good sharpness.

Hi Asa,
The diagonal lines made by the sidewalk and the adjoining wall are assets to the composition. The point of view is showing with precision the details and colors of the architecture of the city wall and of the tower. The cloiudy sky is giving a good contrast to the colors. Have a nice day.

Ciao dear Asa,
excellent POV, with the line of the wall, the board of the sidewalk and the staircase, leads the eye to the ancient tower. A pleasant picture that shows us the beautiful Medieval French Architecture. Congratulations!
Ciao, have a nice day!

Bonjour Asa,
un ciel un peu pale et c'est dommage, car le rendu des pierres est lui impeccable dans son exposition et son piqué.
Un endroit propre et tranquille.
My regards.
Daniel.

Hello Asa,
Your eye exerted with quickly located old stones worthy of interest, and the point of view and framing to emphasize them. The low-angle shot is well seen. The natural light and colors are excellent. It is damage which the sky is a little pale, but you could nothing there. Cheer.
Have a nice day.
Cordially.

Beautiful architecture photo, with great composition and framing, and excellent perspective! The sky is rather dull, but you couldn't do a lot about it! Congratulations!

Hi Asa,
I really love the richly textured old stone work to this lovely French archritecture.
The lush green gowing out of the cracks in the old stones is very fetching as is the foreground street lamp.

Hi Asa,
Beautiful composition of the City wall, good texture on the wall, one can almost feel the roughness of it. Good use of the lines that lead us to the stair and up ot the castle. The sky is a tiny bit over exposed but very pleasant light and good exposure overall. Thanks.

Hi Asa,
This is a nice POV making use of the low wall on the right as a leading line to the conical tower. It would be nice if the sky was not as bright, but that was not within your control.
